In the second lecture Prof. Sabyashachi Mishra of IIT, Kharagpur explains how sub atomic particles are discovered thus the identity of an atom. Later he explains how to find the atomic number, mass number, and isotopes, isotones, and isobars in details. He also explains the dual nature of light i.e. Light as Wave and Light as Particle, concept of wavelength, amplitude, and frequency, use of Spectroscopy in the study of Atomic Structure. In the last part he demonstrates the concept of electromagnetism and electromagnetic spectrum and the visible spectrum band.
